Garage 111 Performance, an auto repair shop located in Calgary, Alberta, has announced the launch of a financing program offering 0% interest with no credit check on both parts and labour on auto repairs.

Shop co-founder JP Yagonia told Indie Garage that the suggestion to look into the program–offered by a third-party financing company–came from within the shop and, once they reached the required minimum revenue to qualify, they launched the program..

Though only in place for a short while, he says it’s already paying dividends for the shop and for customers.

“Right now I’m leaning towards for regular auto repair,” as the biggest beneficiary, he says. “People who are looking for a repair and they don’t have the ready budget for that. So far it’s pretty helpful for them to offer non-credit-check financing.

“We’re very knowledge in vehicle upgrades–the proper wheels, the proper suspension, the proper modifications for their cars–but we work on all auto repair; all years, makes, and models. So, we pretty much are an all around shop.”

He agrees though that those upgrades are more planned purchases, in stark contrast to unexpected auto repairs.

Yagonia does explain that not every vehicle or customer qualifies for 0% financing, but rates are always low.

“Each vehicle depends on the year, make model. It depends on the value of the vehicle. That’s how those third-party companies decide on how they’re going to do the interest rates. But it’s an open loan. They can fully pay any time.

“We understand that unexpected vehicle repairs can place a significant strain on our customers’ finances. Our goal with this 0% interest financing program is to alleviate that burden, allowing our customers to prioritize their vehicle’s health without the worry of high-interest rates or credit checks.”

By offering 0% interest for a set period, Garage 111 Performance ensures that customers can spread out the cost of their repairs over time without incurring additional fees. No credit check means that all customers, regardless of their credit history, can benefit from the program.
