Federal-Mogul Motorparts is set to officially launch Garage Gurus HD along with featuring its quality commercial vehicle products for the wheel end, visibility, steering, suspension and engine repair markets during Heavy-Duty Aftermarket Week 2018 (HDAW) in Las Vegas, Nev., January 22-25.  T

Garage Gurus HD
Garage Gurus HD is Federal-Mogul Motorparts’ new heavy-duty training program for technicians who perform HD repairs.  Now available online, onsite and on-the-go, techs can receive training on how to repair medium and big rigs; perform diagnostic checks; prepare for ASE certification exams; and keep up with the latest tools, maintenance and repair techniques in the industry.  Garage Gurus HD will initially be available across three modules, including nine classes pertaining to foundation brakes, air disc brakes, and bearings and seals.  Throughout 2018, Garage Gurus will launch additional training classes for FP Diesel®, ASE prep classes, preventive maintenance inspections, and more.

Abex Air Disc Brake Rotors
Designed to work in conjunction with its Air Disc Brake (ADB) pads, these new products are available across 8 different Class Eight applications, covering nearly 98 percent of the HD ADB market. Abex offers a pad and rotor combination for the most popular Bendix, Meritor and Wabco Air Disc Brake systems.

Featuring E-Shield protective coating technology, Abex rotors are easier to remove, due to less corrosion and rusting on the attaching surface.  Each rotor also contains a directionally smooth finish and offers an OE-quality design for maximum performance and reliability.  Abex pad and rotor combinations are engineered to work together to provide optimum stopping and extended life.

ANCO HD Wiper Blades
ANCO has unveiled a new wiper blade line made specifically for medium- and heavy-duty trucks.  Available exclusively through Federal-Mogul Motorparts’ heavy-duty distribution network, 14 new SKUs fit a variety of sizes and applications, featuring exclusive DuraKlear HD – a robust durable element designed for heavy-duty use.  Offering four layers of corrosion protection – galvanized structural steel, phosphate coating, E-coat and top coat – these blades also incorporate a tall wiper element and stainless-steel flexors to offer premium quality.  Saddle, hook and side pin adaptors are included in each package to accommodate most any connection.

Champion HD Batteries
Champion has introduced a new line of batteries for the commercial and heavy-duty markets.  This includes both starting and deep cycle batteries in flooded and AGM styles and features a patented fully-framed stamped positive grid that provides for optimal current flow and resists corrosion for longer life.  The 23 products offered are part of a larger line that will include automotive, marine, lawn and garden, power sport and golf cart batteries.

FP Diesel
FP Diesel announces expanded coverage for the Detroit Diesel Series 60 14.0L EPA07 engine.  FP Diesel’s new Cylinder Kit contains a one-piece forged steel piston with a 17:1 C/R.  This upgraded steel piston was introduced to meet the demands of EPA07 emission requirements.  The new cylinder kit is included in our In-Frame Engine Kit and Complete Overhaul Engine Kit.

Wagner LongLife HD lamps include several features ideally suited to commercial vehicles, with extra-strength filaments.  Many also feature a patented fifth lead support wire to further enhance durability and vehicle uptime.  Each LongLife HD miniature lamp is charged with a premium krypton gas mixture that helps enhance filament life and provides a purer, whiter light than standard incandescent lamps, while LongLife HD sealed beam headlamps feature impact-resistant quartz glass and a ruggedized lamp housing to resist shock, vibration and damage caused by road debris.
