Vast-Auto Distribution, a subsidiary of Groupe Del Vasto, a leading distributor and marketer of automotive parts in Eastern Canada, and a shareholder of the Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance, has announced its Electric Verified by EV Vast Recognition Program.

This new brand is part of Groupe Del Vasto’s global strategy, which includes the Auto Value, M 360 Mechanic, OCTO Auto Service Plus, Auto Mecano and Monsieur Transmission banners.

With the electric and hybrid vehicle market evolving rapidly, the organization has adopted a development strategy that will enable it to lay the foundations for success in this sector.

Thus, the Electric Verified Recognition Program plays a part in the implementation of the EV Vast strategy, which is based on four major pillars and aims to position the organization and its network of parts stores and repair shops as leaders in the electric and hybrid vehicle market.

The four pillars are 1) the development of a purchasing and installation service for charging stations, 2) the development of an Electric Verified repair shops network, 3) specialized training offered by Vast-Auto Academy and EV Skills, and 4) the distribution of specialized parts for electric and hybrid vehicles.

Moreover, thanks to its partnership with the EV Skills training program, the Vast-Auto Distribution Academy guarantees a high standard of quality of services offered in Electric Verified repair shops and parts stores.

Mauro Cifelli, president and CEO of Groupe Del Vasto, explains that: “With this Recognition Program, we want to send a clear message to our customers: we are investing in the development of our skills so the aftermarket can repair and maintain their vehicles, regardless of the engine type.”

Other partnerships with various suppliers make it easier for repair shops to join the program by providing them with charging stations, health and safety equipment, and specialized equipment for the maintenance and repair of electric and hybrid vehicles.
