ADAS – Keeping It Moving In The Right Direction
Standard Motor Products
Ryan Kooiman, Director of Training, Standard Motor Products
As an overall goal of improving highway safety, a key feature of ADAS is keeping a vehicle moving on it’s intended pathway. When an objecvt interferes with that pathway, modern ADAS equipped vehicles will react to avoid the object and keep the vehicle moving in the right direction. Attend this session to learn about how sensor fusion is utilized to accomplish this task, and how cameras, steering angle, yaw rate, and wheel speed sensors, along with ABS actuators are used together to keep the motoring public safe.
3:30 pm – 4:00 pm
ADAS Calibrations – Unmatched Opportunities!
Repairify
Ben Johnson, VP General Repair Markets, Repairify
We will discuss ADAS fitment trends and trends of shops doing ADAS calibrations. We will also discuss the liability of putting a vehicle on the road without ADAS being properly calibrated, and that many “non-ADAS” – related maintenance and repair also require ADAS calibrations. Finally, we will discuss how asTech’s remote access to OEM tools and service information drive confidence in accurate ADAS calibrations and open new opportunities for shops.
