Fountain Tire announced the advancement of three executives to new Vice President roles.
Curtis Goodwin will become VP Stores – Alberta and Saskatchewan; Nason Higinbotham will become VP Stores – BC, Manitoba and Ontario; and Yves Richard will become VP – Supply & Wholesale.
“I’m delighted to welcome Curtis, Nason and Yves to Fountain Tire’s senior leadership team,” says Jason Herle, Fountain Tire CEO.
“Each bring a unique skillset that will enhance our strategic direction, champion our partnership philosophy and support our store managers in delivering an exceptional customer experience.”
“Our core purpose, helping people get there — safely, sustainably and successfully, includes the development of our executives,” adds Herle. “As these leaders move up in the organization, it paves the way for others to advance their own careers at Fountain Tire.”
Curtis Goodwin started his career at Fountain Tire more than 30 years ago, as assistant manager then store manager, building a strong team and profitable retail location in Edmonton. He moved to the automotive dealership side of the industry in the late 1990s, innovating programs and services with one of North America’s most successful dealer groups. Curtis rejoined Fountain Tire in 2018, focusing on operations management and helping develop Fountain Tire’s farm and off-the-road programs. His most recent position was General Manager, Alberta and Saskatchewan stores.
In his new role, Curtis will oversee his current territory in an elevated capacity, developing the next generation of regional leadership.
Nason Higinbotham joined Fountain Tire in 2014, building upon leadership roles with Vancouver-based independent and national tire retailers. He served as Area Sales Manager of Tire Country, Fountain Tire’s wholesale arm, before moving to sales manager positions overseeing B.C. and later Ontario. Nason transitioned to Fountain Tire’s store operations team in 2020, focusing on the Lower Mainland and moving the brand into new, surrounding markets, including the launch of TireMobile, the company’s first consumer mobile tire service. He was promoted to GM, BC and Yukon Stores in 2022.
As VP Stores – BC, Manitoba and Ontario, Nason will continue to grow the Fountain Tire business and a team of directors and store managers in his expanding territory.
Yves Richard spent 17 years managing customer solutions in Canada’s telecommunications industry prior to joining Fountain Tire in 2014. His decade-long focus on the company’s Product and Pricing team included supporting multiple business units, steering the store network’s retail mechanical offerings and leading the launch of Fountain Tire’s Digital Vehicle Report program. He was promoted to General Manager in 2023. Yves also chairs the board of Goodyear’s Canadian Commercial Tire and Service Network.
Yves’ new role will encompass Fountain Tire’s product and pricing, inventory, warehousing and logistics, retread and wholesale portfolios, ensuring the company has the right tires at the right place, at the right time and at the right price.
