 The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) is hosting a free webinar for service technicians on Tuesday, Feb. 7 at 4:00 p.m. ET entitled “Introduction to Lab Scopes.”

James Wilson with ATech training will provide an introductory look at lab scopes and their role in today’s diagnostics. Topics include: 

  • DMM vs Lab scope
  • Types of Lab scopes
  • Lab scope terms
  • Settings to use 
  • Adjusting to get a good pattern
  • Primary automotive electrical signals
  • Serial/DATA/CAN 
  • Examples of waveform types
